More than 45 workforce, transportation, education, business, and community leaders came together Sept. 10 for Getting There: A Transportation and Workforce Convening, hosted by WCSO. The discussion focused on finding solutions for one of the most persistent barriers to workforce participation: reliable transportation.
The conversation highlighted promising practices already underway, including expanded transit options, employer-supported transportation programs, and partnerships designed to connect more people with employment and training opportunities.
Participants also discussed opportunities for stronger collaboration among employers, workforce organizations, transportation providers, and community partners to improve workforce mobility and reduce barriers to employment. Insights from the convening will help inform future strategies aimed at expanding access to economic opportunity throughout the region.
Thank you to UC Skills for sponsoring this important conversation and supporting efforts to strengthen workforce participation across Southwest Ohio.
