To Read: “Apprenticeship: Earn and Learn Opportunities Can Benefit Workers and Employers” 

On May 28, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued a report, “Apprenticeship: Earn and Learn Opportunities Can Benefit Workers and Employers.” The report was developed in response to a Congressional request. 

The report affirms apprenticeship as a highly effective workforce development strategy. Summarizing its top-line finding on impact for apprentices, “Participants in (registered apprenticeships) are likely to earn higher post-completion wages than students pursuing an associate’s degree, incur less debt than those students in technical education, and benefit from industry-connected skills education.”
