Michael Beck, President at Code for Kids
Michael Beck is a results-driven global leader with a distinguished track record in process reengineering, artificial intelligence, STEM education, and innovation. He is the founder of Code for Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding AI and STEM opportunities. Also, he has played a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide for Cincinnati’s underserved youth. His initiatives empower the next generation of innovators and contribute to the city’s emergence as a leading hub for AI and technological advancement, driving economic growth for our region. Recognized for his impact on underserved communities, Michael has received numerous accolades, including the Spirit of Cincinnati Award, CAA’s Bridge Builder Award, and the LULAC Presidential Commendation Medal.
Why are you passionate about the Workforce Council of Southwest Ohio?
“I firmly believe that the strength and vitality of any region depend on how well we prepare the next generation for the careers of the future, especially through STEM and AI education. “Product Marketing Analyst for NCR Corporation in Dayton, Ohio.”
What professional advice has stuck with you throughout your career?
“One piece of advice that’s stayed with me is: ‘Focus on creating value, not just delivering work.’ It taught me to look beyond checklists and deadlines—to ask how my work, time, and skills can make a real difference. That mindset shaped not just my professional path but also my commitment to volunteering and giving back. Whether mentoring students, contributing to local initiatives, or building tech solutions, I try to align everything I do with creating meaningful value for the community where I live and work.”
