While federal funds comprise 67% of the Workforce Council’s current budget, the Workforce Council and the OhioMeansJobs Center are able to operate as usual so far during the federal government shutdown. Prior to the shutdown, the first installment of WIOA Title 1 funds was allocated to states, which comprises 20% of our annual allocation.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will share information as we learn more or as the situation evolves. Due to the unusual length of the shutdown, it may be possible that services are temporarily paused at the OMJ Center. We will take guidance from the state on this matter.
