Q: We have applied to become an eligible training provider via the form. When will we hear back?
A: Please note that we are in the process of onboarding our new Job Center operator, Grant Associates. This transition may impact when you receive an update on the status of your application.
We encourage you to watch for additional updates about the process over the next couple of months. Thank you for your patience during this transition!
Q: How does my organization become an eligible training provider?
A: Open enrollment is from June 1 to July 31 for the 2026-2027 program year. Please follow the directions above and then complete this application before July 31, 2026. Please note that the Workforce Council will only consider organizations that complete the online application. We will not accept screenshots via email for the 2026-2027 program year.
Q: Who should I contact if I have a question about becoming an Eligible Training Provider for Area 13 (Hamilton County)?

Q: Does my organization have to have a facility within Hamilton County in order to qualify as an Eligible Training provider?
A: No. However, if a student requests an in-person meeting, the Eligible Training Provider must fulfill that request and meet with the student in Hamilton County.
Q: If my organization refers someone to the OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Center because they are looking for WIOA funds to cover the cost of their training, is that person automatically eligible to receive the WIOA funds?
A: No. The individual must follow the procedures that all OMJ Center customers follow to determine eligibility. In addition, just because someone is eligible for WIOA funds does not guarantee they will receive them. Demand for WIOA training funds is higher than the actual amount of funding that we receive from the federal government, so we are not able to accommodate everyone at this time.
Q: What is the maximum amount of WIOA funds an eligible individual can receive for training?
A: Up to $8,000 for training that takes up to 6 months, and up to $15,000 for training that takes between 7 and 24 months.
Q: I’m a community member looking for funding to go to school or a training program. Can the OhioMeansJobs Center help me with funding?
A: You may be eligible for funds if you or your spouse is a veteran, if you are from a low-income family, or if you have a barrier to getting a job. Please contact the OMJ Center to find out if you’re eligible: 513-946-7200
Q: Our training program did not get approved by the state of Ohio (WIET). Will this stop us from receiving WIOA funding from Area 13 for our training program?
A: Yes, we are only permitted to work with training providers who have been approved by the state.
Q: Something about my organization is incorrect on Ohio’s Workforce Inventory of Education and Training (WIET) site. How do I fix it?
A: The WIET system is owned and operated by the State of Ohio. Please contact them at WIOAQNA@jfs.ohio.gov or 888.296.7541 (select option 3)
