Nominate for the Workforce Champion Awards

The Workforce Champion Awards nomination form is available now through Dec.16!

These awards recognize individuals, teams and organizations for outstanding workforce development achievements in Cincinnati and Hamilton County during the past calendar year (2024). Award winners will be recognized at the Workforce Council’s Annual Meeting and Awards Breakfast on February 13, 2025. All award winners and their nominators will be invited to the event.

Nominations are being accepted through Dec. 16, 2024, for individuals, teams, and organizations. Self-nominations are permitted. Awards are available in the following award categories: 


Collaboration – outstanding workforce collaboration enhancing the Cincinnati-Hamilton County public workforce system. Eligibility: an individual, team, or organization that has successfully collaborated with one or more entity. 

Innovation – demonstrated innovation in one or more areas of workforce development that led to promising practices to help strengthen the region’s workforce. Eligibility: individuals, teams, or organizations.

Leadership – outstanding achievement in workforce development leadership to help strengthen the regional workforce system. Eligibility: individual, team, or organization.

Advocate of the Year – Special contributions to advancing workforce development issues in the community or beyond. Have gone above and beyond the normal call of duty by serving as a voice for the workforce development ecosystem. Eligibility: individual or team.

Worker of the year – outstanding individual who has participated in career coaching, training, and/or mentoring with support from the OhioMeansJobs Center or a Youth Services Provider, and has achieved employment through their hard work, resilience, and skills gained. Eligibility: individual aged 14 and up. 

Employer of the year – outstanding employer who contributed to the advancement of workforce development emerging and/or best practices. Eligibility: organization.

Workforce employee of the year – outstanding individual or team who has demonstrated excellence in customer service, dedication, teamwork, productivity, partnership, passion, and/or equity. Eligibility: individual or work team involved in some aspect of workforce development.
